Scariest Day of my Life

So I broke up with my girlfriend on Friday 2 weeks ago and she took it well, were both still friends and she understood completely. I felt really bad and all, but it just wasn't meant to be.

Last Thursday she was texting me how she was hanging out with her friend and was going to take a pregnancy test because she hadn't had her period since November and some red flags were going up. Originally when she told me this weeks prior, that she had missed it, I was worried to all hell but she got a test from the doctor and came up negative and he said it was probably just stress or something causing it.

Positive.

IT WAS FUCKING POSITIVE.

All I get is the message "Uhm, you wanna come get me and go for ice cream or something we need to... converse..."

My life literally flashed before my eyes and I started hyperventilating. She was on the pill and had some sort of problem with her body so it was supposedly nigh impossible for her to get pregnant, and yet two tests later shes still fucking positive.

I hopped in my car and sped all the way over to where she was and started freaking out. She assured me that she'll get it terminated and not to worry but man this has been stressing me out to the point I'm on the verge of a mental breakdown. I can't sleep anymore, I feel sick constantly and its like this empty pit in my stomach is just weighing me down.

Her appointment to find out how far along she is and when it can be aborted is coming up on Feb. 9th but that seems like it will never come, its literally the longest week I've ever had in my life and I won't breathe a sigh of relief until that thing is in the medical waste bin at the hospital.

Whats scaring me is that she's only 18 and girls are emotional motherfuckers, and the longer it takes to get it done, the more chances she has to change her mind on this. I can't afford child support nor do I have the time or will to raise a child. She says shes going to do it and stuff but its still a nagging feeling on my mind that won't go away. I can't wait for this to get behind us because I'm losing hair over it. Neither of our parents know, and only a select few of friends know as well, and it's killing me.

It was the scariest day of my life, and it's still not over yet.

Fuck.

srsly moko. i know a little bit how you're feeling. i had a condom break once and the two weeks waiting until that period came were quite stressful. i can only imagine that your situation must be an order of magnitude more stressful than that. it may sound trite, but you will be alright. in time you'll be laughing about the bullet you dodged. hope yer ex is alright too. chances are she's just as freaked, maybe even more so since she is the one who actually has to go through the abortion. so be nice to her as it wasn't her fault, it will make things easier all 'round. hope all turns out well.

Hospital Techs messed up if the test game back negative, it measures hormone levels in the blood, you might want to be sure you are the father. Like seriously 2 weeks, and she got a hospital check up, wasnt preggers and now she is, though a store bought test, have her retest that shit, majority of women (83%) dont know how to properly use a pregger test.

Also was she on anti-biotics? that can counter act the pill, and the pill needs to be taken at the same time everyday.

But i would be questioning if i was the father.

But yeah, there are doctors in canada, who do offer late term abortions, and there are drugs you can slip into her food.

If you end up on the Maury show, me n ocho will go to the recording.

But yeah, something sounds fishy, and dont panic, if she does have it DNA test it, but she seems pretty adamant to not keeping it.

I don't think it was a blood test she took at the doctors the first time, pretty sure it was one you pee on. I asked her about it, and apparently if you have sex 11 days or sooner before taking the test it can mess up the reading or something.

I have a feeling that she got pregnant on one of the times she spent the night and slept in late and didn't get home to take the pill until the evening, messing up the cycle and giving the opportunity for it to fail.

Damn Moko! It does sound a little weird her being negative with a doctors office test weeks ago and now positive with a home test. Even if it was a "pee on it" kind at the doctors office, I'd bet they have better quality ones than the local drug store. If she's on the pill for hormone problems, that could wack out about any test though, a blood test would definitely be more accurate.

My suggestion would be relax until she gets confirmation. Then if she asks for $300 bucks for an abortion, tell her you wanna go with her and you'll pay for it there. I've seen too many girls swindle their ex's out of $300 this way.

The pill isn't that easy to mess up. If she took it just a few hours late it won't matter for most people. (Everyone's hormones and metabolisms are different, but most people.) The instructions that come with the things don't even recommend back up contraception until you've completely missed 3 pills in a row or are taking antibiotics for 3 or more days. You definitely don't want to press your luck if you don't have to, just so you know for future reference.
