Uber,
My apologies as well..
Each others interpretation perhaps?
I consider myself to be a better writer than a speaker (east coast upbringing)
I kept trying to figure out what it was that I wrote to misconstrue.
My fault really, should have been more explicit on Micron vs VR.
I guess I better stick to song writing rather than doing reviews LOL.
It's all good though, chit happens now and then and no animosity whatsoever
(just to be clear on that)
I did take a really good look at that site though, went through the benches, wrote down scores on the top drives.
Then went to a site that used World Bench (like me) which runs on PC's with XP (all versions as far as I know). (I dual Boot XP Pro / Win7 Ultm.)
Did I notice that OCZ and Corsair were tops?
According to the High / Less = Better, those 2 sure looked like they took the lead or am I reading bit-tech's benches wrong?
And to add salt to my own wound.. I thought of the F1 rather than paying better
attention that it was the Spinpoint F3.. doh!
I agree with you on : good hard drives as far as reliability and build quality, storage capacity, and price, as the wrong MB could bottleneck, not enough or the correct memory etc..
So you are correct, the build makes a difference.
That's the reason why I try to make a fair bench: like, partition both to same size, could be I am wrong doing that? My thoughts were that it sounds fair in my mind
Anyway, keeping Bit-Tech in favs (thanks), I saw more than just HD's
